The most awaited night of all time—the Met Gala 2024—is finally here. Curiosity about this particular event arose from its unconventional theme, followed by some of the most experiential celebrity looks. Thankfully, this year’s theme, The Garden of Time, enabled designers to present some of their best works while keeping each celebrity’s individuality intact.

Among many mesmerizing red carpet looks, some ultimately became iconic. From Zendaya’s dramatic headpiece to Kim’s tinniest waist look, we were simply stunned by how the designers played with this year’s Met Gala theme while not detaching from the style element.

1. Zendaya in Margiela

Zendaya, known for her fearless fashion choices, made a stunning appearance in a custom Margiela ensemble by  John Galliano; this is a direct nod to the designer’s Spring 1999 couture line at Dior. One of the co-hosts for that evening—Zendaya, didn’t surprise her fans with one but two of her looks with the most dramatic headpieces. For this look, she chose to show up in an oceanic blue gown with enough floral elements to keep her look in sync with the Met Gala’s 2024 theme.

Gigi Hadid is known for many inspirational looks, focusing on sheer elegance. Yet again, she has not failed to deliver a look worth recreating or perhaps a look worth gazing at and admiring for all the fashion folks. At the beginning of the event, we started gushing over this spring-perfect look. This Thom Browne-designed gown features 2.8 million beads, 500 hours to make, and 70 people working on it—the final result—just too perfect for The Garden of Time theme.

3. Kaia Gerber in Prada

Within the Costume Institute exhibit, a dedicated section showcases the profound influence of the mythical mermaid on the world of fashion. At the same time, some folks might not find Kaia Gerber’s all-white floor-length sequenced gown perfectly aligned with the theme of the Met Gala. However, according to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, it is true that the mermaids exist in fashion’s eternal garden. 

4. Kendall Jenner in Archival 1999 Alexander McQueen for Givenchy Couture

Kendall Jenner paid homage to the late Alexander McQueen by donning an exquisite piece from his 1999 collection of Givenchy Couture. The dress, a work of art, featured McQueen’s signature blend of edginess and elegance. Jenner’s choice celebrated McQueen’s genius and showcased her deep appreciation for fashion history. An interesting tidbit is that this exquisite work of art has solely adorned mannequins. The 818 tequila brand owner is the first human to wear it—it makes us astounded by this look even more. 

5. Nicole Kidman in Balenciaga

Nicole Kidman, always a vision on the red carpet, appeared in a stunning Balenciaga gown that combines classic beauty with contemporary flair. The dramatic silhouette showcased Balenciaga’s iconic design philosophy. Kidman’s grace and elegance brought the creation to life, making it one of the night’s standout looks. One thing found common in the guestlist who chose to wear Balenciaga remains to showcase a literal explanation of The Garden of Time. 

6. Sarah Jessica Parker in Richard Quinn

Sarah Jessica Parker, no stranger to the Met Gala’s best-dressed lists, dazzled in a mesmerizing  Richard Quinn’s design. The Just Like That… star complemented the look with a Philip Treacy fascinator. This year, she made her 12th appearance at the event, and she couldn’t hold her excitement enough to carry a look as dramatic as her films. 

7. Elle Fanning in Balmain & Cartier

Fanning made a delicately spectacular entrance at the event,  showing up in a stunning sheer gown designed by Balmain. The gown, dipped in resin to mimic glass, accompanied by sleeves embellished with sculptural birds, pays tribute to Sleeping Beauty. In awe of the unique creation, it was noted that Balmain had never attempted such an innovative design previously.

The Met Gala 2024 is the time to showcase new hair color trends, and Amanda tried to recreate that exact look. The star replaced her long golden locks with a platinum blue hue. She relied on Lancôme for her Met Gala look. As far as the makeup is concerned, subtle yet refreshing are the describing words. However, the show’s highlight remained a purple lip, appropriate for her silver Prada gown adorned with delicate pink floral designs.  

9. Kris Jenner in Oscar de la Renta

Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, showcased her impeccable taste in an elegant Oscar de la Renta all-white gown paired with a satin coat featuring a long train and large floral embroidery around the collars. The entire look was also paired with coordinated opera gloves. For this all-white monochrome look, Jenner opted to add a pop of color with two emerald green rings and earrings.

10. Kim Kardashian in Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano

Kim Kardashian is always one to make a statement. Yet again, she didn’t fail to surprise us all in the most inspiring way in Maison Margiela Artisanal piece by John Galliano. Last year, the Skim’s founder set the internet ablaze with thousands of pearls, which were weaved around her by Schiaparelli. This year, she designed a bustier top resembling armor adorned with floral motifs on the bodice. Kardashian adorned herself in a silver floral chain-mail dress, elegantly draped as a skirt, complemented by a bespoke Margiela thong harmonizing with the bodice. Layered atop the metallic ensemble was a stylish gray bolero cardigan. Overall, the highlight of her look for the trollers remained the ultra-cinched waist and her metallic monochromatic look.


The Met Gala is a charity event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. It is a fashion exhibition where you will see some of the best designer pieces worn by some of the most famous personalities worldwide. It is popular to have an art walk on the red carpet without any stereotypical restriction, with an idea where unconventionality meets the prospect of wearability. 

Finally, it is a place where fashion is formed for millions to follow. While plenty of red carpet looks were showcased at the Met Gala Red Carpet, some fashion moments made a lasting impression. We share them, hoping you will adore these looks as much as we do.
